B2B sourcing from Japan

Post what you want to buy. Vetted Japanese businesses respond.

Vetted Japanese shops answer with priced offers, photos and tracked shipping — new, sealed or pre-owned. Unlike a proxy service there are no per-item fees and no commission: you pay the price you agreed plus shipping, and nothing else. Your payment stays locked until the parcel ships.

How it works for buyers

From want-list to delivered parcel in four steps, in your own currency.

1
Post your request

Describe the item — card, set, grading, quantity, budget. Our category forms capture the details Japanese sellers need, and everything is translated automatically.

2
Receive priced offers

Vetted sellers see your request in their feed and reply with a price in yen — you see it in euros or dollars — shipping on a separate line, and photos of the item where they have them.

3
Negotiate one-on-one

Shortlist the best offer to open a 48-hour exclusive window. Counter freely — the exchange stays private, and only the seller's figure sets the price.

4
Pay securely, receive, rate

Pay by card. The money goes to the seller's own account but stays locked there — it is only released once a tracking number is registered. Sellers undertake to ship within 5 business days of payment. Confirm delivery, open a claim if something is wrong, and rate the seller.

Built for professional trust

Vetted on both sides, paid through a regulated provider, documented for your accountant.

Protected payments

Buyers pay the seller directly by card. The money is locked on the seller's account and released only once shipment and tracking are confirmed — the platform never holds your funds.

Vetted network

Every company — buyer and seller — is manually reviewed and approved by our team before it can trade.

Claims & mediation

A 7-day claim window after delivery, with platform-mediated resolution. Justified claims are refunded to the card you paid with, from the seller's own account.

Proper paperwork

Order confirmations, numbered invoices, landed-cost estimates and a customs declaration for every parcel — ready for your accountant.

Frequently asked questions

Who can join RequestJapan.com?

Registered businesses only: shops, dealers and resellers in Europe or the US on the buying side, and shops, dealers and wholesalers in Japan on the selling side — new stock or pre-owned, both are welcome. Every application is manually reviewed; you'll need your company registration details.

What does it cost?

Nothing. Registration is free, there is no subscription, and we take no commission: you pay the agreed price plus shipping, and nothing else. The seller receives that amount less only their card processing fee, which Stripe charges them directly. If we ever charge for access it will be invoiced to the company, never taken out of a transaction, and you get 30 days' notice.

How are prices and currencies handled?

Sellers quote in yen; buyers see euros or dollars. The exchange rate is locked the moment a deal is agreed, so the amount you confirm is exactly the amount you pay.

What happens if the goods don't match the description?

You have 7 days after delivery to open a claim, with photos if you have them. Our team mediates and decides: rejected, partly refunded or refunded in full. Refunds go back to the card you paid with, taken from the seller's account.

Who handles customs and import duties?

The buyer is the importer of record. Before you pay, every deal shows an estimated landed cost including import VAT for your country, so there are no surprises.

Who holds my money between payment and delivery?

Nobody but the payment provider. Your card payment is processed by Stripe onto the seller's own regulated account, where it is frozen: the seller cannot withdraw it until a tracking number is registered on the platform. RequestJapan.com never touches the funds, which is exactly why we can keep the service free.

How is this different from a proxy or forwarding service?

A proxy buys on your behalf and charges you for it — a fee per item plus a service percentage, on top of the price. Here you deal with the shop directly: they quote you, you negotiate, and we take nothing. You also get what a proxy cannot give you — a business counterparty who is vetted, contactable and rated, an invoice and customs declaration in your company's name, and a claim window if the goods are wrong.
